The University of Portland in Canada recently hosted a Halloween event that brought students, staff and faculty together for a spooky celebration of creativity and community spirit. The campus was transformed into a Halloween wonderland with a variety of activities and festivities that made for an unforgettable night.

Ghouls and goblins galore!

The Halloween celebrations at the University of Portland kicked off in the afternoon as the sun began to set, setting the stage for a spooky but exciting atmosphere. The campus was decorated with elaborately carved pumpkins, spider webs and all sorts of Halloween-themed decorations. Students and volunteers worked tirelessly to create a spookily fun environment that captured the spirit of Halloween.

Costume parade and competitions

One of the highlights of the evening was the fancy dress parade, where students, as well as staff and faculty, donned their most creative and sometimes spooky costumes. From classic monsters like vampires and zombies to pop culture icons and pun-filled ensembles, the creativity on display was impressive. The panel of judges had the difficult task of choosing winners in categories as diverse as "Best Group Costume", "Most Original Costume" and "Scariest Costume".

Thrill Haunted House.

The Halloween event featured a haunted house that gave participants goosebumps. Designed and operated by theater students, the haunted house was a maze of darkness and suspense, with unexpected scares and chilling surprises around every corner. Those brave enough to step into the haunted house experienced an adrenaline rush of fear and excitement.

Trick-or-treaters and lots of sweets

Trick-or-treat stations set up on campus allowed participants of all ages to fill their bags with a variety of sweets and goodies. From classic candies to homemade baked goods, there was something for everyone with a sweet tooth. Young students and their families also participated, making it a family-friendly event.

Live music and entertainment

The Halloween Celebration also featured live music performances by talented student groups and artists. The outdoor stage came alive with participants dancing and singing along to Halloween-themed songs and popular hits.
