Toronto Weather to Deteriorate Soon due to Sharp Cold Snap

Despite its generally overcast reputation, Toronto has enjoyed a relatively temperate November this week, featuring periods of above-average temperatures and a delightful stretch of sunshine. However, this pleasant weather is about to undergo a significant transformation.
To provide context, the usual November temperatures in Toronto typically fluctuate between 2°C and 9°C. Friday's daytime high of 12°C was a few degrees above the seasonal norm. Nevertheless, a recent report from The Weather Network predicts a swift change as an icy cold front is poised to move through the region this weekend.
While some areas in southern Ontario may experience daytime highs in the low to mid-teens on Friday, the impending cold front will rapidly drive temperatures down. The forecast indicates that the cold front will bring approximately 5 to 10 mm of rainfall across southern Ontario on Friday morning, tapering off by late afternoon.
Despite Friday's high of 12°C, the nighttime temperature is projected to plummet to -9°C on Wednesday, aligning with the province's anticipated "fickle fall" weather pattern.
In a mid-November update, the weather agency cautioned residents that it's "only a matter of time" before the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) witnesses its first substantial snowfall event of the season, contradicting the Farmers' Almanac's forecast of an early December occurrence.
Although the onslaught of cold weather is expected to persist for at least the next week, meteorologists at The Weather Network maintain that milder conditions will likely return just in time for December.
